3 more charged in NE Tennessee $100K double barn arson including 2 firemen

ROGERSVILLE — Three new defendants including two former firefighters who actually responded to the fire have been charged in connection with two barn fires that occurred simultaneously south of Rogersville on Feb. 13, causing damage in excess of $100,000.

Eleigh Cody Christian, 19, 732 Walkers Church Road, Bulls Gap, was arrested on March 4 and charged with arson and vandalism over $60,000.

Christian was indicted Monday on those charges by the Hawkins County Grand Jury.

On Monday the grand jury also returned sealed indictments against three additional men in connection with the Feb. 13 barn fires at a farm on Old Rt. 66 near the Persia community.

Two of those men are brothers Michael Lynn Johnson, 21, 732 Walker Church Road, Bulls Gap; and Robert Russell Johnson, 24, 701 Rt. 66-S, Bulls Gap.
