“Let’s Dance!” takes place Sunday, Feb. 2, at 3 p.m. at Indian Trail Intermediate School. The symphony will be under the direction of Cornelia Laemmli Orth and the Indian Trail Intermediate School choirs will be directed by Stephanie McKeehan, presenting a thrilling mix of styles of dance music. Repertoire goes from classical music to “Dancing Queen.”
This family-friendly concert presents a superb opportunity to introduce great symphonic music to children of all ages. Immediately following the concert children can participate in an an instrument “petting zoo.” As with all Symphony of the Mountains concerts, children are admitted for free.
Monday morning, Feb. 3, the orchestra will repeat the concert for area students in a pair of school concerts. Symphony of the Mountains is dedicated to bringing music to children as part of its mission to “Entertain, Educate and Enrich” our communities.
