BUTLER — The Carter County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man Sunday on charges he assaulted a woman and took their two children.
According to a news release, police were investigating a home invasion that took place on March 11 around 6 p.m. in which an 85-year-old man was attacked and stabbed in a home on the 2500 block of Louise Street.
