After Johnson City police pulled over a man Tuesday due to the vehicle’s registration being displayed improperly, police checked the license of the driver, Travis B. Templeton, 49, Elizabethton, and discovered he had a revoked license for driving under the influence.

When his vehicle was seized, police said they found a handgun. According to police, Templeton is a convicted felon from “multiple different incidents.”

Templeton was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun and driving on a revoked license multiple. He was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $11,000 bond and appeared in Sessions Court Wednesday.
