Johnson City police arrested Jerrie Boyd, 42, 1824 Mary St., and charged her with criminal simulation Monday.

The arrest came after police investigated a report of a woman who attempted to pass counterfeit money last week at a Roadrunner Market at 408 N. Broadway St. Through investigation, Johnson City police said, they learned it was Boyd who tried to use the fake currency.

She was transported to the Washington County Detention Center and held in lieu of a $500 bond. She was arraigned later Monday in Sessions Court.
