Jonesborough man charged with murder, body identified

A Jonesborough man has been charged with the murder of a man found dead along Dry Creek Road Saturday morning, according to court records.

An affidavit filed in Washington County General Sessions Court charges 32-year-old Aaron Christopher Story, 3541 Cherokee Road, with first-degree murder.

According to the complaint, Story admitted to police that he shot Christopher Scott Connelly after a dispute.

A woman walking her dogs to the Lone Oak Trailhead Saturday morning discovered Connelly’s partially clothed body 30 to 40 feet from Dry Creek Road.

Sheriff Ed Graybeal will hold a press conference today at 11 a.m. to discuss the case in further detail.

More information will be revealed this morning about the Washington County Sheriff’s Department investigation into a body found along Dry Creek Road Saturday.

Sheriff Ed Graybeal has called a press conference at 11 a.m. in Jonesborough to discuss the case.

According to preliminary information from the weekend, the man’s body was found at approximately 8:30 a.m. by a woman walking her dogs to the Lone Oak Trailhead. Graybeal said the dead man was in his mid-30s and partially clothed,

He said he believed the body could have been there since sometime Friday night or early Saturday morning.
