Pets of the Week

Summer is in full swing, and if you’ve ever visited a shelter, you know that means dozens and dozens of cats coming in. It is the season in which kittens abound. It’s not just felines, either - there are always plenty of animals in need, so pay them a visit and do your part to help.

These are the Pets of the Week at the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter:

• Bentley is a one-year-old, neutered, male with a wonderful attitude and engaging personality. His big smile is just the first thing you notice, but this tri-colored Shepherd/Beagle mix has a lot of positives to offer. He is sweet and friendly and outgoing, and I’d be a big fan no matter what his name is.

• Catsy Cline is a six-month-old domestic short hair who needs a good home. A very personable gray tabby, she has been spayed and is ready to meet your family (and you’ll want to keep her when you meet her).

• Aardvark is a cute little fella who craves attention, and he’s not getting as much as he should being locked up all day. So - if you could see your way to visiting the shelter and spending a little time with this adorable, 2-3-year-old, male Terrier mix, he surely would appreciate it. He is awfully sweet and a little timid, and may take a little time to warm up, but he’s worth the wait.

• Socks is a beautiful, black and white domestic short hair. She is six months old, has been spayed, and has spent too much time behind bars. Take her home and give her the chance to show you how sweet and playful she can be, and how much love and adoration she has to give. Visit today!

You can visit the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter at 135 Sycamore Shoals Road, Elizabethton, or call them at 423-547-6359.
