Pets of the Week

The weather this week has been wet. And then it got wetter. That generally means the dogs have fewer hours and opportunities to get outside. If you have a little time and don’t mind the rain, the volunteers and staff sure could use a little help walking a dog in need of attention and exercise.

So, pay a visit to your local shelter and spend some time with a good friend - walk a dog, pet a cat, talk to birds —whatever you can do, they’ll appreciate it. Also, if you get time to sign up as a regular volunteer or donate anything at all, the animals and staff at all of your local shelters would be most appreciative!

This week’s Pets of the Week:

• Layla is an adult, spayed, female Torbie who loves people - you just need to go slow getting to know her. She has a beautiful white and tan coat, and is a big fan of petting and cuddling, as well as the occasional treat or two. Sweet, gentle, docile, and fun, she is ready to go home with you.

• CoCo is a wonderful, chocolate, four-year-old, spayed, female Spanish Water Dog who loves spending time with people, other dogs, and animals of all kinds. I would assume she won’t be at the shelter long, but I’ve been plenty wrong about such things before. She is housebroken, and a big cuddler —pay her a visit and see if she’s the right fit for your home!

• Renegade is pretty laid back for such a name. She is a six-year-old, spayed, female domestic short hair and she likes to take her time when meeting new people. A black and white beauty with a great attitude, she is a big girl with a sweet personality and a love for people and animals alike. Take her home so she can show you what you’re missing.

• Tilo is a two-year-old, neutered, male Husky with beautiful eyes and an endearing personality. He is a sweet boy who gets along with other dogs (no cats, though), people of all ages, and anyone who wants to run and play. He is outgoing and lovable, and would love to prove that to you - so pay him a visit, and take him home - you’ll be glad you did!
