Pets of the Week

It was a beautiful day to visit the Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter, and a wonderful day to meet adoptive parents (and prospective adopters as well)!

During my trip today, I got to meet Muffin and his new forever family, and had the opportunity to talk to two other people who were hoping to walk out with a new family member by the afternoon. It was one of the good days.

There are plenty more animals in need, however, and here are four I’ve chosen to highlight this week:

• GiGi is a beautiful, white and orange, adult, female Tabby who loves to play. A very sweet and attentive domestic short hair, she was extremely appreciative of visitors (especially if they had time to pick up a toy or two). She would make a wonderful addition to any family - why not make it yours?!?

• Buddy is a handsome boy with a lot of heart, and a lot of energy to burn. A beige and white, adult, male Chihuahua mix, he is active and friendly, and loves to cuddle. A small mix who didn’t have the shaky nature of many in his breed, he was also quieter than expected, and pleasant to spend time with. He’d make a great pet!

• Suki is a one-year-old, neutered male who is just as sweet as he is calm. A domestic medium hair, he has a very nice coat and a personality to match. He loved meeting the people who visited, and was more than happy to play or rest, whichever seemed to fit the moment best. Take him home!

• Minnie is living up to her name. A Miniature Pinscher, this eight-year-old, black-and-tan beauty is small enough to ride comfortably in the palm of your hand. She is shy and nervous, and a little overwhelmed, but she loves people and enjoys playing and spending time with other dogs and older kids. She could be the addition your home was meant to receive - giver her a shot!
