Pets of the Week

What a beautiful day today! Bright, shining sun with a wonderful breeze - the perfect day to visit the shelter and walk some dogs.

Keep in mind that if you’re looking for some good exercise that isn’t to stressful or high-impact, a dog on a leash is always a willing partner. Take my word for it.

This week’s Pets of the Week:

• Pippin and Poker are four-month-old twins who love to be inside with a good lap. These two handsome, neutered males each have a beautiful white and gray Tabby coat and plenty of love to go around. While they would like to go togetehr to a new home, know that each of these guys will take a bag of food and a toy with them wherever they go. They are indoor cats only - no barns or yards for them.

• Taz is a very scared, very hesitant little fella who wants and needs a home soon. A young, adult, male Dachshund mix, this brown-coated champion of cuteness is having to work up the nerve to be with people, but once he does, he is all about sharing the love. Let him share some with you and your family.

• Degas is a very handsome, very sweet, and very playful four-month-old, brown and white Boxer/Lab mix who puts an immediate smile on your face. A puppy who seems to have an old soul, he was very laid back during our visit, and left me feeling as though he would be happy with any living situation, as long as he was able to belong. Give him a shot, folks!
