Pets of the Week

After all the rain this winter, the past few days have shaped up as beautiful, warm afternoons, and the dogs at the shelter are happy to get the chance to be outside and enjoying it along with the rest of us.

While I was visiting, I got to spend a little time with some wonderful dogs out for a walk, and I was happy to do so. There are some amazing dogs at the shelter who need a home, and who need loving families to show them they’re not alone in the world - so if you get a chance, visit the shelter and see about taking one home with you. It will be one of the best decisions you can ever make.

This week’s Pets of the Week:

• Ermac is a happy, handsome, and lovable, black-and-white, 15-month-old Pitbull mix. He loves being active and playing with kids and other dogs, and hopes he meets a wonderful family that allows him to do just that - play and grow with an active lifestyle. He is sweet and attentive, and you should take him home!

• Brownie is a five-year-old, brown Pitbull mix who is looking for a final home. Fighting cancer and some other health issues, she is very sweet and loving, and still has plenty of love and life to give. She loves to cuddle and give kisses, and she’s never met a stranger - she would be a perfect companion for someone who needs a caring, empathetic friend at home.

• Stripe is a big boy. A really big boy. A one-year-old, brindle-brown, male Mastiff mix, he is as sweet as he is handsome, and he’d love for you to visit so he can prove it to you. He is the kind of dog people love to be around, and the kind of pet you brag about for years. Spend some time with him and see for yourself - you’ll be wanting to take him home.

• Jodi is a beautiful, snow white, female Shepherd mix. A young adult, she is not accustomed to the shelter, and she is having a hard time adjusting to her surroundings. Do your best to take her away from the noise and the kennels, if you can - pay her a visit and take this amazingly sweet dog home with you.
