Pets of the Week

Our region has several of the finest animal shelters and facilities you’ll ever find, with wonderful staff members and volunteers who make sure the animals are well fedd, cared for, and as safe and happy as possible.

But these are animals who still need a home. Still need love. Still need you. Please, do what you can.

This week’s Pets of the Week are from two separate shelters, and both could use your visit:

• Ripple is a beautiful, black and white four-month-old, female domestic short hair who love the new structure inside, and the fact that she can run freely within the cat room. She is very vocal and playful, and had a great interaction with visitors during my time at the shelter - she would make someone a wonderful friend for years to come.

• Mr. Bean loves to play, loves to be held, and loves to be a part of what’s going on around him. He is every bit a boy, and enjoys games and attention as you would expect. A four-month-old gray, tan, and black Torbie, he is looking for the perfect family to live with - it could be you and yours, so come on down and spend some time with Mr. Bean!

• Itachi is a loving, sweet, nine-month-old Pitbull mix who is longing for some attention and a family to call his own. A dark gray, handsome boy, he is happy and active and playful. If you get a chance to spend some time with him, you’ll know exactly why he deserves a good home - it could be yours.

• Daphne is one of my favorite dogs at the shelter right now. While there are dozens of others who also steal my heart during my rounds, she is the sweetest soul of them all, and is just as beautiful on the outside. A young adult, gray Pitbull, she has the most amazing smile and nature, and enjoys every second she can spend with another dog or person. She is very active and needs a loving family willing to spend time with her, and give her the training she will need as she grows.
