There was a big crowd at the shelter during my visit, and it wasn’t just people milling about. People were there to be involved.
There were folks looking to adopt. People looking to volunteer. Kids looking to spend some time. It was one of those days that makes you happy to visit.
I love showing up and knowing the animals are getting the attention they so deserve, seeing the children as happy as a dog or cat can make them, and to see parents proudly choosing a pet to grow with their young families. If you haven’t been lately, you should go —there are plenty of great things happening at your local shelters these days.
