There are times that I enjoy filming these videos at our local shelters, and other times that visits are rather depressing and unenjoyable. Each visit, however, is rewarding in its own way.
One of the most rewarding things about the visits is getting to know dogs and cats who are mainstays, as well and getting to know the staff and volunteers whop make it their mission to provide an enjoyable life for these animals in dire need. If you get the chance, spend some time visiting and introducing yourself —it will be well worth your time.
You can visit the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter at 135 Sycamore Shoals Road, Elizabethton, or call them at 423-547-6359.
