Proverbs 31:29 “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all”

Sallie Elizabeth Howell, age 94, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 4, 2019, after a lengthy illness.  She was a resident of Hillview Health Center in Elizabethton, Tennessee for the past three years.  Sallie was a loving wife to Harvey Logan Howell, who preceded her in death.  She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Erwin and enjoyed the fellowship of her friends in the Dorcas Sunday School.  Sallie worked for the Southern Pottery in Erwin, where she painted the flower decorations on their now famous pottery.  Later in life, she worked at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital in the dietary Department.  She retired after 20 plus years of service. Sallie loved to travel and had opportunities with church and family to visit many places all across the United States.  A private tour of the White House was on her list of favorite experiences. In addition to her parents and husband, Sallie is preceded in death by her daughter, Penny Sue.
