Mr. John Carter Allen

HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Mr. John Carter Allen, age 63 of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, December 2nd at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

He was born November 11, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky the son of John Mosteller and Betty (Eads) Allen.

He was a member of the St. John UMC in Hopkinsville. He was supply pastor for Shiloh UMC and Vaughn’s Grove UMC, board president for Habitat for Humanity in Christian County and director of Habitat for Humanity in Warren County, first director of Micah Mission Center in Hopkinsville where he also volunteered and he enjoyed doing family genealogy.

He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Sarah “Sally” Allen of Hopkinsville; one son John Carter Allen, Jr. of Hopkinsville; one daughter Jennifer Courtney Allen Wiesbrook of Bowling Green; two brothers Stephen Hester Allen of Springfield, Tennessee and Paul Hunter Allen of Clarksville, Tennessee and two grandchildren.

There will be a visitation with the Allen family on Sunday, December 10th from 2:00 until Memorial Service time at 5:00 at the St. John UMC with Rev. Janet Carden officiating.
