Classical meets jazz with pianist Bomin Park

Wise – Join the University of Virginia’s College at Wise during Homecoming 2019 for “Classical Meets Jazz” a concert with pianist Bomin Park. This is a lively program featuring famous piano solo pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt and Chopin performed in classical style and arranged into blues, swing and R&B jazz styles with the help of drummer Tony Wilder and bassist Glenn Diamond.

Originally from South Korea, Bomin Park currently serves as an adjunct instructor of piano at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, where he teaches all levels of classical piano, a music technology class and applied lessons. He also serves as a collaborative pianist for the UVa-Wise Concert Choir.

“Classical Meets Jazz” will take place on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Cantrell Banquet Hall on the UVa-Wise campus. This event is free and open to the public.
