East Tennessee State University’s Holiday Choral Concert, “And on Earth, Peace,” will be presented Saturday, Dec. 1, with two performances at 4 and 7:30 p.m. at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 E. Market St.

The ETSU Chorale, Greyscale, BucsWorth men’s choir, East Tennessee Belles women’s choir and ETSU Faculty Brass Quintet will present an evening filled with music from various holiday traditions, as they have done for over 50 years.

The program includes works from such composers as Eric Whitacre, David Wilcox, Franz Gruber, Felix Mendelssohn, Jake Runested and more. There will be familiar holiday carols, as well as new choral works.

The ETSU choirs are conducted by Drs. Matthew Potterton and Alan Stevens. Potterton chairs the Department of Music and is director of choral activities, and Stevens serves as associate director of choral activities.

Seating is limited for both performances, and advance ticket purchases are recommended. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students, and are available online at www.etix.com/ticket/v/14003/etsu-department-of-music.
