"Trail of the Lonesome Pine" returns to Big Stone Gap Performances of the 56th season of "Trail of the Lonesome Pine," the official outdoor drama of Virginia, will be held at 8 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays, through Aug. 24, at the June Tolliver Playhouse in Big Stone Gap. Children’s choirs to hold auditions Auditions for the East Tennessee Children’s Choir will be held Monday, Aug. 19, between 4 and 5:30 p.m. at Munsey Memorial Church. Auditions for membership in the Emory Virginia Children’s Choir will be held Thursday, August 22, 4-5:30 p.m. at the chapel on the campus of Emory and Henry College. Children who are in grades 4 and up may audition for either choir. Auditions take about 25 minutes and are conducted on a first-come basis. Children in grades 1-3 may register at the same times on the same dates for the Choristers: 4-5:30 p.m. at Munsey or at Emory and Henry Chapel.
