Mamma Mia: Jonesborough Repertory Theatre will be holding auditions for the musical, “Mamma Mia!” on Jan 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. Auditions will include a group dance, group sing and cold reads from the script. Those interested in a lead should prepare a 40 to 60-second audition piece and if bringing sheet music, it should be in a binder and clearly marked. Wear clothing comfortable to move in. Parts are available to performers 16 and up.
Broadway Comes to Greeneville: Auditions for the annual Broadway Comes to Greeneville production will be held for younger performers ages 7-17 on Jan. 21 at 6 p.m. at Woodland Hills Christian Church, 16173 Elementary Drive, Abingdon, Virginia, and Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. at First Christian Church, 200 E. Mountcastle Drive, Johnson City, Tennessee. singer selected will sing alongside Broadway veterans, Jeannette Bayardelle, LaKisha Jones, Gary Mauer and Elizabeth Southard. Children auditioning should prepare a classical, country or Broadway-style song. Each audition time will be one minute long. A wireless speaker, piano and CD player will be provided and singers must provide their own accompanist. Broadway Comes to Greeneville will be held Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m. at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Greeneville.
