It may be rainy, but don’t let the weather keep you or your family from having a frightful Halloween: there’s still plenty of events for everyone in the area.

Indoor trick-or-treating at Memorial Park Community Center: Johnson City’s Chamber of Commerce isn’t going to let rainy weather stop the trick-or-treating fun, and will hold an indoor event in Memorial Park Community Center, 510 Bert Street, from 4-7 Thursday. Area businesses, city departments and their partner agencies will be on hand to provide candy and other goodies.

Trick-Or-Treat on West Walnut Street: The annual tradition is still going to take place, rain or shine, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on West Walnut Street in Johnson City.

Halloween at Carver Recreation Center: Fun for the whole family, with trunks full of treats, vintage cars, lot of games, carnival rides and inflatables at the Carver Recreation Center, 322 W. Watauga Ave., tonight from 4-8 p.m.

Johnson City Community Theatre Trunk-or-Treat: It’s almost All Hallows’ Eve, and to celebrate, the Johnson City Community Theatre will host a family-friendly Trunk-Or-Treat in its parking lot.

Downtown Trick-or-Treating: Trick-or-Treating in downtown Elizabethton from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Carter County Sheriff’s Department Trunk-or-Treat: The Carter County Sheriff's Department will host a free, family-friendly Trunk-Or-Treat event on Halloween in the Sheriff's Department/Courthouse parking lot. It is free to attend and open to all ages.
