Sycamore Springs wins performance award

Sycamore Springs Senior Living Community, 1504 W. Elk Ave., Elizabethton has received the “2017 Community of the Year” award by Legacy Senior Living, its Cleveland, Tenn.-based management company.

DAR mother and son give talk

The Ann Robertson Chapter of the DAR met on Nov. 28 at the Johnson City Country Club.

Melodie and her son, Ivan Daniels, gave an informative talk about the Fort Watauga Chapter of the Tennessee Chapter of the Children of the American Revolution.

Melodie serves as TN Society Senior Chairman for the CAR/DAR/SR/SR Relations Committee and Ivan serves as Society President for Fort Watauga and as TSCAR Assistant Registrar. He is also the State Committee Chair for the CAR/DAR/SAR/SR Committee.
