The Hart & Houston department store at 313-317 E. Main St. was comprised of dry goods, shoes, millinery, etc. This site later contained the businesses of Penney's, Woolworth's and Montgomery Ward.

A full page 1909 ad (part of it reproduced here and the rest listed as text below) contained the following advertisements:
