HAMPTON — The Hampton Elementary School Student Council has started a toy and clothing drive to help three fellow students who lost all of their possessions in an early morning fire April 3.

The children are boys Michael Caldwell and Nathaniel Buchanan and the girl is Witney Miller. Caldwell is a hero in the story, because he woke up to the smell of smoke and discovered the heater in his brother’s room had caught fire. The boys were able to raise the alarm and get the rest of the family out of the house in time.

Michael Caldwell needs size 28-by-28 pants, medium shirts and size 9 shoes.

Whitney Miller needs size 4 pants, small to medium shirts and size 8.5 shoes.

Nathaniel Buchanan needs 32-by-30 pants, large shirts and size 11 shoes. Special considerations for him include tagless shirts preferred and no fleece.
