First United Methodist Church, 900 Spring Street: "It's all about Jesus" Service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Activities and programs for the children and youth will begin at 4:30 p.m. A contemporary worship experience, The Branch, will begin at 6:15 p.m. in the sanctuary. Beginning Friday evening, FUMC will host the families of the Appalachian Service Project for the weekend. Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 212 Sunset Dr., Johnson City: Two holy communion services at 9 a.m. The traditional service meets in the nave; Heartsong Americana service is offered at 11:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Sullivan County Red Back Church Hymnal Sing: Clay Hill Baptist Church, 122 Hobbs Hollow Rd., Blountville. Red Back Church Hymnal SIng will meet May 19 at 5 p.m. The group meets every 3rd Saturday. The church is located just off Hwy. 11W approx. 5 miles west of the Pinnacle Shopping Center, Bristol, TN.

Yard sale: Austin Springs United Methodist CHurch, 726 South Austin Springs Rd., Johnson CIty, will host a church yard sale Saturday May 19 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Information, 423-483-1242.
