Miss Johnson City, Miss Historic Jonesborough crowned

The 2020 Miss Johnson City and Miss Historic Jonesborough have been crowned.

Miss Johnson City is Kristen Gallant, and Miss Historic Jonesborough is Anna Konstantopoulos.

The young women will represent their respective communities in next year’s Miss Tennessee Pageant.

First runner-up in the combined competition is Jordon Bowling, and second runner-up is Bailey Cheek.

Also crowned were a new Miss Johnson City Outstanding Teen, Zoie Stout, and a new Miss Historic Jonesborough Outstanding Teen, Sydney Collier.

The scholarship pageant was conducted Saturday at David Crockett High School.

• Gallant earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism from Middle Tennessee State University. Her platform is “CHANCES: Creating Families Through Adoption.” Gallant is sponsored by Hancock, Daniel & Johnson, PC.

• Konstantopoulos is majoring in Biblical and theological studies at Milligan College. Her platform is “Unseen but Believed: Raising Awareness for Invisible Illnesses.” Konstantopoulos is sponsored by The Posy Shop.

• Stout attends Unicoi County High School and is sponsored by The Posy Shop. Her platform is “Be Seen, Be Heard — Shining a Light on All Disabilities.”

• Collier attends Bristol’s Tennessee High School. She is sponsored by Hancock, Daniel & Johnson, PC. Her platform is the “Mitch Movement — Sharing Kindness and Helping Others.”
