Crystal Chissell, vice president of operations and engagement for Project Drawdown, will present a lecture titled “Climate Solutions as Health Solutions” on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. in the Millennium Center Ballroom.

The lecture is part of the Leading Voices in Public Health lecture series, sponsored by East Tennessee State University’s College of Public Health.

Project Drawdown is a world-class research organization that reviews, analyzes, and identifies the most viable global climate solutions, and shares these findings with the world. As a thought leader and communicator, Project Drawdown is shifting the global conversation about climate change from “doom and gloom” defeatism to one of possibility, opportunity, action and empowerment.

As an operations and governance specialist, Chissell works to champion diverse and collaborative leadership for a regenerative and beautiful future on Earth. She draws on her deep experience and interdisciplinary background in local and state government, law, business and social equity to nourish a culture of excellence at Project Drawdown and to facilitate partnerships that move the world toward climate solutions.

Prior to her lecture, a meet-and-greet reception with Chissell will begin at 5:30 p.m.
