ETSU Celtic band Roaring Jelly to perform on St. Patrick’s Day at Down Home, March 17

Roaring Jelly, one of the Celtic bands in East Tennessee State University’s Bluegrass, Old-Time and Country Music Studies program, will perform a St. Patrick’s Day concert at Down Home, 300 W. Main St., on Sunday, March 17.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for “A Roaring St. Paddy’s Day at the Down Home,” followed by music at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door for the general public and $5 for students with ID. An Irish dinner of beef stew, cabbage, soda bread and potatoes will be served for an additional $9 per person.

The ETSU Celtic bands are led by Dr. Jane MacMorran, director of the Appalachian, Scottish and Irish Studies Program and assistant professor in the Department of Appalachian Studies at ETSU.
