Kristan Ginnings named president and CEO of United Way of Washington Co.

The United Way of Washington County Tennessee announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Kristan Ginnings as President and Chief Executive Officer effective April 2.

Ginnings brings over 14 years of financial experience, most recently serving as vice president and market executive for First Citizens Bank. She led the company’s banking initiatives in the Tri-Cities market while specializing in business and commercial lending, and was instrumental in the selection as a 2017 Faith in the Future award winner.

A graduate of the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce Leadership 2020 program, Ginnings currently serves as their program chairwoman. Additionally, she serves as an allocations committee member for the United Way of Washington County TN, and as a board member for CASA of Northeast TN and the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce Workforce, Education, and Industrial Council. Ginnings is also an adjunct professor at East Tennessee State University.

Ginnings holds a bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University and an MBA from King College. She was selected as an honoree for the 2017 Tri-Cities Business Journal 40 Under Forty award. Kristan currently resides in her hometown of Jonesborough, TN with her 8 year old son, Reed.
