PITTSBURGH — The East Tennessee State women’s basketball team fell to 2-12 on Sunday with a 66-58 non-conference loss to Duquesne.

Erica Overton-Haynes led the Bucs with 16 points. Britney Snowden added 11.

Chassidy Omogrosso, a preseason All-Atlantic 10 Conference selection, led the Dukes (5-4) with 23 points. She went 8 of 19 from the field, including 6 of 11 from 3-point range. She had more 3-pointers than the entire ETSU lineup, which combined to go 5 for 17.

When Snowden made a 3-pointer with 5:12 left, ETSU’s deficit was just three at 53-50. Overton-Haynes and Snowden scored back-to-back baskets to make it a two-point game with 1:06 left, but Juliana Vojinovic made a jumper and the Dukes went 4 for 4 from the line in the final minute to seal the victory.

ETSU turned the ball over 22 times.

The tough schedule doesn’t get any easier for the Bucs, who play at No. 9 Tennessee on Friday.
