The Buffs have won three out of the previous four games inside of Steve Lacy Fieldhouse and will play host to Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent Point University on Saturday. The tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Milligan will look to take the season series from Point and notch its ninth conference win. The Buffs have been hovering around the .500 mark all year and should pose a threat to anyone in the conference tournament in late February.
Aaron Levarity has been playing well for the Buffs all seasons and he tallied his 16th double-double against Tennessee Wesleyan. He finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
The Skyhawks have struggled this year, having only a 6-19 record and two wins in the conference. They have a 1-10 record. The Buffs, meanwhile, have a 5-3 record at home ands will have three more home games after Saturday.
The next home game will be a rescheduled game against Bluefield on Tuesday. The women will tip at 5:30 p.m. with the men beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Coach Rich Aubrey’s squad has been playing well as of late, winning three of four and getting over .500 at 13-11. The 9-9 conference record is also a reflection of how difficult the AAC is this year.
The Buffs have a strong 7-2 record at home, but are just 4-4 on the season on Saturdays. The balanced scoring effort has been a key in the recent success of Milligan and they will look to avenge an early season road loss at Point.
The tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
