ELIZABETHTON — “The Nutcracker” was a big success this Christmas season in East Tennessee.

The East Tennessee Youth Ballet and Academy preformed its annual production of “The Nutcracker” for four near sellouts at the Gregory Center at Milligan College this holiday season.

The guest artists for this year’s performances were Sarah Walborn and Anthony Savoy of the American National Ballet.

Walborn played the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Savoy performed as her Cavalier. They completed the cast of over 50 performers.

The East Tennessee Ballet Academy, 312 E. Elk Ave., is a classical ballet school with a focus on technique and artistry for students 3 years and older. The not-for-profit school is under the direction of Cynthia L Bernshausen.
